Spring Return Electric Actuator

Hearken Flow fail-safe spring return electric actuator is specifically designed to move the valve to a safe position when the power supply fails.

The actuator uses a robust construction with a polyester powder-coated aluminum alloy housing and meets IP67/IP68 and NEMA 4X/5 protection ratings, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments. Our electric spring return actuator offers strong application flexibility and can be used with both linear and rotary valves across a wide range of industrial applications and operating conditions.

During normal operation, the motor drives the spring-return electric valve actuator while storing energy in the mechanical spring. In the event of a power failure, the built-in gear drive system releases the stored energy to move the valve or equipment to a safe position (fully open or fully closed). During this process, the stable mechanical cushioning mechanism helps avoid water hammer in the pipeline.

For maximum reliability, all internal gears are factory-lubricated for life with high-quality grease. This provides long-lasting, stable operation with minimal maintenance, helps extend the overall service life of the actuator, and keeps performance smooth and reliable during critical fail-safe operation.

• Note: Unlike pneumatic spring-return actuators, electric spring-return actuators require power during normal operation to perform both opening and closing movements. This helps maximize the service life of the actuator. The spring-return function is activated only when the power supply fails.
